How has 2025 been? Any highlights to share?

Looking back and ahead, we are seeing dramatic industry shifts, split launches that reshape consumer behaviour, attachments rates challenged due to new form factors and foldable devices, faster cycles with shorter device lifespans that require more agile supply chains. To sum up, you need a much closer collaboration with partners to stay ahead of the transformation.

 

fastfitOne of our most hyped concepts is FASTFIT IN-A-BOX. Installation issues like misalignment, air bubbles and dust intrusion are pain points for both store staff and end-users. No more. Place your phone. Pull the tab. And it’s ready. The satisfying feeling of a flawless screen protection installation in seconds. Yes, it’s a feeling. And it feels good.

 

Another driver of business value is our new POS concept, not only flexible in terms of artwork and languages, it is also an in-store sales medium because you have products to show and USPs to pitch right there at the actual point of purchase.

The unpacking of products, the touch and feel have a direct impact on conversion and sellout. We have proof of concept and we’re here to help: Recommendations and support to optimize and leverage your portfolio, planogram and POS materials to drive sales, engagement and impact.

 

Another great highlight is our private label business pillar. The talent, the resources and the skillset we’ve put into this is really taking off now. And private label is a hot topic. Wages have not kept pace with inflation, people are trading down or out of a critical segment in the middle class, you don’t want to price yourself out of the competition, so we sit down with our partners and recalibrate growth scenarios, for both of us.

 

PanzerGlass® also serves B2B channels. Can you outline your services and industries you work with?

We have a strong and curated portfolio for various business segments. From First responders to education and big consultancy firms, because who pays if an employee breaks a device?

Our best-in-class screen protectors are tested by police forces, fire departments, law firms, students and approved by teachers and parents. They offer drop protection, scratch resistance, and easy installation, ensuring that devices can withstand the rigours of daily work life.

Device damage costs businesses more than just repair fees. Fixing a broken smartphone can cost up to €350 per device, but the real expense comes from downtime. When a device breaks, employees lose hours of productivity, impacting operations and efficiency.

In industries where communication is critical—like logistics, where phones are essential for deliveries and client management—even a few hours of downtime can lead to missed deadlines and lost revenue. PanzerGlass® has been taking some strides in sustainability. Can you update us on your latest work and developments?

At PanzerGlass®, certification and standardisation play a central role in our fact-based approach to sustainability. Focusing on Circular Product Development, we have Global Recycled Standard (GRS) Certification for products across brands, and FSC Certified paper packaging. Our products also come with verified CO2 data, which can be used directly by our customers to calculate their carbon footprint.

PanzerGlass also works to reduce carbon emissions, and has near-term 2030 and 2045 Net Zero science-based targets approved by the SBTi. As a member of The Perfect World Foundation, we back the protection of biodiversity and nature in crisis, and have partnered with customers to take action that matters.

You recently trialed a 4 day working week. How has that worked out?

We are passionate about our work and deeply committed to our people. We believe that downtime provides more energy, fosters creative thinking, and contributes to overall well-being. From an organisational point of view, our global 4-day workweek (4DWW) project is about working more efficiently, providing everyone with tools and initiatives to work smarter, while maintaining profitability and focus.

This is all without compromising our culture and values: passion, positivity, and integrity. We regularly conduct pulse surveys, at least twice a year, to ensure that the organisation is thriving and that the 4DWW trial delivers the desired results.

While the 4DWW project has not been fully implemented, the benefits are already positive, and we are proud of the numbers from 2024:

 

 

1. Sickness rate: Below 1.5%

2. No long-term leave due to work-related stress

3. Unwanted employee turnover: 5.5%

4. Work-life satisfaction: 91%
