NEW Market Monitor and Mood Report Launched by ChannelHub

 

Last month, the ChannelHub team invited distributors to participate in a monthly MMMR - a market monitor and mood report to keep track of overall sales performance, product category insights, and factors impacting business performance and operations. 

 

37 distributors signed up and contributed to the first MMMR Report with participants across Europe sharing details about September’s sales performance and insights into challenging market conditions.

 

“We’re really grateful to the distributors that have contributed to the first MMMR Report and we look forward to growing our engagement with our distributor attendees over the coming months”, noted Farouk Hemraj, ChannelSummit CEO and Founder.

 

The September report found that the overall market mood measured 6.9 out of 10 (1 terrible to 10 excellent). Retail accounted for 56% of sales with online 27% and social platforms 4%. 

 

“It will be interesting to see how  results compare month on month so we can add more insights in the report. I’m also curious to see how social selling develops over time, and how it will perform in the run up to Christmas this year.” commented Liam McSherry, Conference and Content Manager.

 

60% of respondents felt that the smart tech category was either above or meeting sales expectations, compared to 49% for personal audio and health & wellbeing.

 

Surprise category performers included gaming and Pro AV with disappointment for some around smartphones and projectors.

 

Logistics and Supply Chain disruption was one of the most mentioned barriers to trading along with political instability and increased competition from marketplaces.

What happens when I sign up?

You will receive the October survey in the 2nd week of November. A link to the September summary will be included.

 

Are my answers anonymous?

Yes. No names or distributor companies will be mentioned in the report. The data will be collected and managed by 1 team member at ChannelHub.

 

Do I have to participate every month?

It's not obligatory but we do ask that you try to complete the survey on a regular basis.

 

How long is the survey?

There are about 10 questions so it should take no more than 10 minutes of your time to complete.

 

What format is the report?

The infographic will be hosted online and shared via email.
