Italian security and networking VAD ICOS has acquired the business unit of CREAplus Italia, which deals with the distribution of cyber security solutions, for an undisclosed amount.
This transaction allows ICOS to further strengthen its portfolio of solutions dedicated to data security, integrating in its offer some brands that are of particular interest for the reference context. These include: Cynet, Perception Point, Cryptshare, iStorage, SANS Institute.
"The acquisition of the CREAPlus business unit brings us, in one fell swoop, an extremely interesting package of security solutions, grafting itself onto a phase of rapid growth that has seen our offerings significantly strengthened in the past year", said Federico Marini, CEO of ICOS. "This is a very important transaction for ICOS, as it adds a further piece to the path of consolidating the leading role in cyber security to which we undoubtedly aspire," Marini concluded."
