Written by Liam Mcsherry | Jul 2, 2026 9:14:23 AM

We hosted our first event in China for Shenzhen based brands. The premise - discuss, learn and refine go-to-market strategies for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

For brands entering the market for the first time, there are a plethora of considerations to have in mind so it was no surprise that we had a full house of brands keen to hear what the ChannelHub team and guest speakers had to say.

Content highlights include:

Market reality and current trends - great insights as always from content partner NIQ GfK, courtesy of Jonathan Clarke who presented an up to date view of what’s happening in the EMEA region.

Don’t underestimate the value of distribution partnerships - Consultant and Channel Summit host, Ryan Mackey, spelt out why it's a smart move to work with a distributor and focus on 1-2 countries for market entry.

Localise your approach - Mazen Khanafer from Shift UAE emphasised the importance of thinking local, and to adopt the mindset across the board so it applies to packaging, messaging, certification etc

Patience is more than a virtue - Konrad Dietrich from Soular Distribution pointed out the need to play the long game in the German market to build trust in the brand.

Don’t get stuck in the Dubai bubble - Neil Sharma at Techmart UAE highlighted the many strategic retail partnership opportunities available across the GCC that can be part of a successful channel building strategy.

100+ deals signed - Farouk Hemraj, ChannelHub CEO and Co-Founder shared the latest results from the Channel Summit EMEA event and the strategic role the event can play for brands entering the market for the first time.

"You meet directly with decision-makers, so preparation is essential. Profile potential buyers in advance and identify the types of distributors you want to connect with. Be ready to discuss your products, pricing, and contract terms in meaningful conversations.” Global Sales Director Selina Lui, a regular attendee of Channel Summit events, shared her insight and experience of exhibiting at recent shows.

“Trust always wins”. Eric Kebani, Development Director at Ezratis, France. “For new-to-market brands to succeed in building their channel business in Europe, it’s all about creating win-win relationships with your distributors and retailers that stand the test of time. Get the balance right – be firm, be fair, be patient as we invest in sustainable growth for the brand.”

A big thank you to all our speakers for supporting the show and providing constructive, high value insights for the 95+ vendor attendees in the room.

Thanks to Selina Liu for her support during the seminar, Kandao Technology and Timekettle for their technical support.

We'll be sharing more about this session soon.....
