Marcus Soo, CEO, Actxa talks award winning tech, channel plans and how he sees the health and wellness market developing in 2026.

Tell us about Actxa

Actxa is a preventive health brand that creates smart wearables and devices to help people understand their health and live well every day.

Backed by our own team of researchers and proprietary health technologies, including BGEM®, the world’s first non-invasive, clinically backed AI-driven blood glucose evaluation and monitoring technology. Actxa turns complex body signals into simple, meaningful insight that supports healthier choices and long-term well-being.

One of the key innovations we are showcasing is our Core Smart Ring. Designed for all-day comfort, it combines advanced sensors with meaningful health insights to help users better understand their bodies.

Seamlessly connected to the Actxa App, it supports everyday wellness with clarity, confidence and ease. The ring features AI Glucose Scan powered by BGEM® — the world’s first non-invasive, clinically backed, blood glucose evaluation and monitoring technology.

It also offers health analytics such as VO2 Max and fitness age, SpO2, SleepSmart™, and more.

Our work has been recognised as we were named as Best AI-Driven Preventive HealthTech Company 2025 at the Singapore Business Awards and received the SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2022 under the AI-Healthcare Technology Category.

What is your channel set up in the EMEA region?

As we expand into EMEA, our channel strategy is focused on building strong and sustainable partnerships. We are actively seeking partnerships with distributors, anchor retailers, and sales representatives who bring strong market expertise as we accelerate our expansion. Our strategy is to establish a true omni-channel presence across both online and offline consumer electronics retail. At the same time, we see strong potential across government agencies, corporate wellness programmes, and pharmacy channels as part of our broader EMEA go-to-market approach.

Which countries are you prioritising in 2026?

In 2026, we are prioritising key lead markets within the EMEA region, including the UK, Germany, France, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. Beyond these core markets, we remain open to countries that present strong strategic potential. Rather than limiting ourselves geographically, we prioritise identifying and partnering with high-quality local partners who can drive sustainable growth in their respective markets.

What type of distribution and retail partners are you looking for?

As a brand operating at the intersection of consumer electronics and health, we see strong opportunities across both consumer electronics retail and health & wellness retail channels. Consumer electronics retail enables us to reach consumers at scale, while health & wellness channels help deepen preventive health and blood glucose awareness. We are open to working with consumer electronics-only distributors, health & wellness-only distributors, as well as partners capable of operating across both segments. We also welcome collaborations with e-commerce platforms and retail partners to strengthen our market presence.

What trends do you anticipate in the Health & Wellness market this year?

We anticipate rising global concern around blood glucose and diabetes, including undiagnosed and pre-diabetic populations. There is a clear shift towards preventive and personalised health insights, with consumers seeking non-medical wellness tools that empower everyday health decisions.

We also expect deeper integration of AI and wearables, enabling anytime, anywhere monitoring and more personalised lifestyle interventions. Healthcare systems are also shifting towards prevention, with governments and insurers increasingly incentivising prevention to manage long-term healthcare costs.

In addition, corporate wellness continues to evolve, with more employers investing in more holistic platforms that combine physical activity, sleep, stress, and metabolic indicators.

These trends reinforce the importance of connected, preventive health ecosystems.

What sets Actxa apart from its competitors?

What truly differentiates us is BGEM®. It is a non-invasive, clinically validated glucose evaluation and monitoring solution focused on improving blood glucose health and raising awareness to reduce undiagnosed pre-diabetes and diabetes. Backed by over 36,000 data points, clinical trials, and three published research papers, BGEM® provides a scientifically grounded approach to proactive metabolic health management.

Across both wellness and medical grade categories, our offerings are built on the same BGEM® technology and accuracy foundation. The distinction lies in intended use and regulatory pathway. The medical-grade version is validated through clinical trials and peer-reviewed medical journal publications, while the wellness-grade offering supports broader, everyday, habit-forming adoption.

While many companies align with UN SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), our approach goes further by actively advancing SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Current blood glucose monitoring solutions rely on disposable medical consumables. In contrast, our BGEM® technology—across the platform as a whole—supports non-invasive, repeatable monitoring that encourages habit building and regular self-awareness.

By promoting sustainable monitoring behaviours, this approach can directly and indirectly reduce reliance on single-use products over time, contributing to lower medical waste and

long-term cost savings for individuals and healthcare systems.

Will you be launching any new products at Channel Summit?

Yes, we will be showcasing the Core Smart Ring with AI Glucose Scan powered by BGEM®.

We will also share our roadmap for new innovations and products as we build a complementary suite of products for different customer segments and usage scenarios, all anchored in our core technologies.

Together, these products form the foundation of our broader health ecosystem—one that delivers meaningful, practical value through connected, preventive, and habit-forming health solutions.

Channel Summit also provides us with an important opportunity to engage in deeper conversations with partners, gather feedback, and explore how these offerings can be brought to markets in ways that support successful local launches with our partners (business-driven) in each region.

Ultimately, our goal is to empower individuals to take earlier, smarter action on their health through everyday technology - making preventive health simple, accessible, and sustainable.
